We all cherish our school days. It is definitely fun to be in a class full of enjoyment and mischievous activities. The backbencher's generally have their own private and parallel life going on, as the front bencher's seem to be busy learning from the teacher about some weird species. Those in the middle are generally engaged in some silent unknown endeavors. But in such a class, a teacher has to go through a tough time. If you are a teacher, you know it better! If you shout or act strict with children, then you become a 'bad' teacher, and if you don't, the chaos continues. So, what is the solution for this vicious problem? Why do you think you liked certain teachers and hated the others. If you analyze properly, you will realize that your favorite teacher tried some really good ideas. These ideas helped your teacher manage your class efficiently without being strict and dominating. MOTIVATION IN THE CLASSROOM
The classroom is a place where students spend most of their time. So, the values learned in the classroom will always remain with the students. All teachers want their students to excel in life and motivating the students is one of the important ways to help achieve this goal. There might be some students in the classroom who are extremely self motivated and do not require inspiration from someone else. While others would require that extra push.

Why are good communication skills important for students?
Communication is a vital part of life. Be it your interviews, debate competition or just a casual interaction with your friends, good communication skills indeed matter. A person may not communicate effectively if he does not have good communication skills.
In a student life communication skills are indeed important. After completing your education when you apply for jobs, the first thing that an interviewer does is observing your communication ability.
Communication process includes good reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Here are some of the important reasons why you should work out on your communication skills:
To crack an interview and get a job As mentioned earlier, good communication will matter a lot when you go for an interview. And, if only if you manage to crack the interview, you will stand the chances of getting your dream job. So, while preparing for your dream job, do not forget to brush up your communication skills. It is very very important.
To prove your point
In order to prove your point you need to communicate. Even when you are giving answers to your teacher, you need to justify your answer and for that you need to communicate well.
Extracurricular activities
The ability to communicate effectively is a boon for the students. If you are interested in participating in debates and panel discussions, you will definitely need effective communication skills. If can’t communicate you should better stay away from debates or brush up your skills. We believe the latter is the better idea.
Exams
Communication is not just limited to speaking or having a conversation, it also involves writing and listening. And if you can write well, then it will definitely help in your exams. Mugging up the portion will not help always. You need to understand things and have the ability of putting things in your own words.
How can you brush up your communication skills?
The best way to brush up your communication skills is to read a lot. The reading not only involves your textbook portions but also newspapers, magazines and books. In this way, you will widen your limited knowledge and also learn new words. The reading definitely helps in the long run.
Apart from reading, observation too helps. You should observe people while they are talking. How they use their body language while communicating, the confidence and so on.
Don’t forget good communication is the first ladder to success.

Setting SMART goals for your English language learning.
You have a language dream – how can you get there?
Start with your destination. Don’t worry where you are now, how much, or how little you know – where are you planning to go?
Without a destination in sight it is very hard to keep motivated and keep on track. You wouldn’t set off on a journey (at least most of us wouldn’t) not knowing where you were going. Your destination may need to be adjusted on the way and that’s absolutely fine but you really need to be able to plan this learning journey from wherever you are now to where you desire to be and it is this ‘map’ you have made that will help you to develop your skills, keep you focused and help you find the necessary support you need on the way.
One way of keeping yourself focused and motivated is to set targets for your language learning just as you would for any other process that you need to work through to get to your goal. We have all heard about SMART goals in other areas of business so why not set some for your language learning?
Here is a suggestion for how to set such goals to maintain your progress and keep your English language dream in focus.
